These are articles written mostly on subjects other than literacy. They include the Independent on Sunday "arts critic" piece about Delia Smith ("St Delia") which won me a fax machine; the article for the Independent about local radio DJs ("DJs"); the Guardian piece on whole-school literacy ("Whole-school literacy"); an opinion piece on radio for the Radio Magazine ("Star turns"); plus miscellaneous articles on issues beyond English and grammar. I have also added the TES piece written to commemorate friend, colleague and mentor, David Edwards, who died so suddenly in 1997.
